Little Brother....

Recently, my little brother misses me... he misses the time in which we were together and was staying under the same roof, though we seldom have family activities apart from having dinner on our coffee table while watching tv and having our parents over in Singapore. He's been reminiscing about the past in his blog...

Me and my baby bro are barely one year apart... so since then, he has been my playmate, my companion and my up-to-no-good buddy.... We climbed trees, cycled out of our boundary to the busy streets, blast off fire crackers into the drain and watch the mud inside explode, fold and put paper boats in the drain during mooncake festivals, catch fish in the big 'longkang' etc etc(some, if not most, without our parent's knowledge ....). When we reminicense of the good old days, it never fails to crack me up...
I didn't realise that subconsciously, we've been that close, even though we've had our fair share of sibling rivalry... I only came to realise this when I was compiling my photos for my wedding montage last year...

When we were babies....

With our late maternal grandma in our toddler days....

In our primary school days....

In lower secondary school days...

In adulthood....

I noticed that most of the time, in our childhood days, I have my arm over my brother.... not sure what it signifies... buddies? me being protective? me assuring my baby brother that it's alright?

When we grew up, my hands were not draped over his shoulder ... Maybe because we are shy? because I believe that he can take care of himself now? Most of all, I think because he's too tall for me! (he stands at a staggering 183cm while I'm barely 160....)

Though we don't say it, we know that we can always rely on one another (tiok bo bro?)

And we now share the same hobby too - photography! (though his toy is way more professional and expensive than mine....)

Pity we don't have that much time together anymore nowadays..... and we only got to spend a few days together when I was back in SG in Apr / May this year.... Hopefully, some day, we will all be staying together again...

Last but not least......

Happy Birthday!!!!
