14 October 2007, Sunday - I do....
Under the brilliant dazzling sun (so brilliant and dazzling that I got sunburnt!), on Mt. Cotton and witnessed by more than a hundred guests, Kelvin and Winnie were pronounced man and wife by Pastor Ngar Fei.
Of course it wasn't that easy.
Kelvin's mom, sister and best man - Kenneth Foo - had flown from Singapore to Brisbane to attend their wedding.

The night before the wedding, Kelvin had to bath, put on his new pyjamas and go through the 'hair combing' ceremony, blessing his marriage with Winnie with eternal love and joy. All had helped with the last minute preparations of his wedding.

We woke bright and early on the wedding day. Esmond and I went to collect his bridal bouquet and delivered the bridesmaid's bouquet and some corsages to the bride's side.

The guys then dressed up and prepared to "barge / gate-crash" the bride's residence.

Kenneth: You don't know you very big shot today meh?

David and Esmond travelling in another car.

Off they went to fetch the bride!!!
Of course, the "sisters" were prepared for them. They put the groom and his buddies to the test. First, they got Kelvin to get Andrew to buy some of Winnie's favourite food. Then as he didn't return in time, he was punished by gulping down a mouthful of chilli sauce. Esmo helped him gulped down the rest. Next, came some puzzles whereby they have to cut out words to from pamhlets to declare his love for his wife. He also had to make a love declaration (signature and all) by agreeing to terms like "all my salary will go to Winnie, she will control how much I have to spend, etc etc...."
When the sisters have had their fun and are satisfied with the "bribes" given, they finally let the groom and his party in to see his bride. After serving tea to the bride's elders, the happy couple made their way back to our place to meet with Kelvin's mom and sis.

Kelvin with his mom & sis and best man - Kenneth Foo (whose built, characteristics, behaviour is very similar to Roger Tan!)
At 11.30am, the whole party set off for the wedding venue - Mt Cotton.
The wedding was beautiful and everybody was in a very joyous mood.
At night, Kelvin and Winnie treated us to a sumptious dinner at Summit Restaurant up on Mt Cootha. (Thank you Kelvin and Winnie!!!) The view was magnificent and the food yummy. We were all dead tired after the long day but the night was still young for the newly weds ;P
