Apart from the pretty blossoms of flowers and the cute furry little creatures that are abound in every spring, the season also brings about bountiful loads of six / eight / multiple legged insects....!!! Some with no legs too!
I caught this lizard with a plastic container at home one night. The lizard was later released to the field opposite us...
We caught this little bugger chomping away on the leaves of one of our shrubs in the backyard. See how fat he is!! It has got markings on its body like those on a ruler. It also has a "come hither" tail - maybe to seduce the other half?
And in the no leg category, we have snails. One night, after a couple days of rain, we saw 3 snails crawling on our backyard floor.
They were promptly scooped up and re-located to the school field.
There were also spiders of various types and sizes which were promptly sprayed with insecticides.
Spring is beautiful but not so when you come face to face with these creepy crawleys....
